The first week of summer scholars was a great experience! I thought my least favorite part would be my actual college class I'm taking, but it is my favorite. I'm enrolled in Public Speaking with Dr. Robinson-Moore; not only is the professor amazing, but the class is required to graduate if I choose to go to UNO in the future. Therefore it is a fantastic investment with my time.
Dr. Robinson-Moore is extremely intelligent and down to earth! She is so easy to relate with because she has had her own struggles and is still very successful. That is what motivates me throughout the class also. The class moves very quickly, but I think I can keep up just fine. It is time consuming and that is the hardest part.
Study group in the mornings is what has been helping me though. I get critiqued on my speeches before I even give them to my class. Also, study group is a great time to get help on homework or finish up from the night before. So far Summer Scholars is an excellent experience and is preparing me for my future school.
